Established in 2005, Mound Time Baseball began by providing private individual and group lessons in the back yards and public parks of its original clients and has since served thousands of clients. Mound Time currently has prep teams from age 7U to 19U and runs 20 camps per year with first come, first serve camp registration. The program states that all players and families interested in Mound Time programs need to schedule a preliminary tryout and consultation, and that due to its success, it no longer offers all programs and services directly to the public.

Mound Time Baseball describes its mission as providing and educating the baseball community with an ethical service that delivers the background and experience needed to enhance the lives of youth and parents. It is described as Oregon's most successful and leading baseball training program and as an elite baseball training program in Oregon offering families total immersion in the game of baseball, with nationally-recognized college preparatory baseball teams and year-round training for every age group in pitching, hitting, fielding, and SPARQ (strength and agility).

One testimonial from a parent states that a player named Michael worked with an instructor named Greg for a little over 1½ years and went from being terrified to pitch as a 10-year-old to pitching in 12-year-old Little League All-Stars as an 11-year-old, with noted improvements in control, velocity, and movement, and that Greg teaches sound fundamentals and focuses on fastballs, changeups, and the occasional cutter rather than curveballs and sliders. Another statement from Mound Time says that its goal is to provide children with a solid base of fundamental baseball skills and a challenging environment, to surround them with strong-minded players, and that the program does not sugar coat things and believes that lying to children and delaying their improvement process is not good for them long term in a game that is naturally difficult.
