NBC Camps has been running camps since 1971, and most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. The camp states a mission that includes confidence, goal setting, mental toughness, leadership, intensity, athletic and life skill mastery, the importance of personal faith, and Christian values of integrity, compassion, and that each person is a miracle. NBC Basketball Camp at Eastern Oregon University has an average rating of 4.85 out of 5 stars based on 92 reviews. NBC stands for Nothing Beats Commitment, and camps are described as intense and for those who love basketball enough to work hard. The camp notes an approximate 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio, and campers are grouped by age, skill, and experience. Campers are responsible for bringing their own athletic equipment, at least one pair of well-broken-in basketball shoes, and a clearly labeled basketball, and NBC Camps is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Roommates need to be requested at least two weeks before camp begins, otherwise campers are matched with someone of the same gender and similar age, and a lost key fee applies. Transportation is not provided, there is no supervision before or after camp hours, flexible cancellation options are available, and families can join the priority list to receive notifications on open registrations, waitlist status, and camp news.
