Lakewood Theatre Company Youth Classes

Lakewood Theatre Company Classes offers theatre education and visual arts education. The program includes year-round classes in theatre and visual arts education for adults and children, offered both online and at the Lakewood Center for the Arts. Independent instructors who lease space at Lakewood also teach classes as part of the program.

• Ages: 11–18 years old

Class instructors and production directors are local artists who have demonstrated proficiency in their craft. All classes at Lakewood act in accordance with all state mandates and safety regulations. The stated mission of Lakewood Theatre Company Classes is to inspire and nurture a love of theatre and the arts. Lakewood Theatre Company’s Spotlight Magazine is released six times a year in conjunction with season show premieres and contains a quarterly education catalogue of classes, and an additional 5,000 issues are distributed to more than 60 public spaces in the Portland Metro Area and throughout Oregon and Washington. Lakewood is described as a theatre that offers adult classes, meeting space, and an art gallery.
