Lakewood Theatre Company Youth Classes offers year-round classes in theatre and visual arts education for children and adults. Classes are available both online and at the Lakewood Center for the Arts, and independent instructors who lease space there also teach classes.

Class instructors and production directors are local artists who have demonstrated proficiency in their craft. Lakewood Theatre Company is part of LCFTA, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization. Lakewood is a theatre that also offers adult classes, meeting space, and an art gallery. Lakewood Theatre Company’s Spotlight Magazine is released six times a year in conjunction with season show premieres and includes a quarterly education catalogue of classes. An additional 5,000 copies of Spotlight are distributed to more than 60 public spaces in the Portland Metro Area and throughout Oregon and Washington. The organization states its mission as: “Inspire and nurture a love of theatre and the arts.” Lakewood will have all classes acting in accordance with all state mandates and safety regulations. The organization will be celebrating its 63rd year in 2026.
