Chehalem Cultural Center Camps and Youth Classes include art, performance, ceramics, and culinary sessions such as Art Adventure: Earth & Nature, Art Adventure: Art Takes Flight!, Art in Performance, and Culinary Camp – Eating History. Participants work on projects like cardboard sculpture, paper mache, collaborative projects, models, robots, fairy kingdoms, and birdhouses, and some camps include chances to act, sing, dance, design, and compose an original performance piece. Teen offerings include Morning Teen Ceramics Studio and Afternoon Teen Ceramics Studio.

• Schedule: Half-day and full-day summer camps and teen studios with weeklong sessions, plus a Spring Break camp running March 23rd–25th, 2026
• Price: $170 per week for Half Day Camps; $250 per week for Full Day Camps; $115 for each Teen Ceramics Studio week; $125 for Culinary Camp – Eating History
The program’s mission is “Inspiring and enriching lives by connecting community and culture.” Chehalem Cultural Center receives support from the Oregon Arts Commission, Oregon Humanities, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Humanities. In addition to these camps and classes, the organization provides rental space for public events put on by community organizations and organizers, and it offers free admission to all galleries during open hours. The Art in Performance week concludes with a performance with Full Day Campers on Friday, August 8th at noon in the LaJoie Theatre, and with a combined performance for families with Half Day Campers at the same time and place. Culinary Camp – Eating History includes all materials, food, and cookware in the camp fee.
