George Fox Tennis Center

George Fox Tennis Center offers the 10 and Under & Middle School Class for kids ages 6-14, with fundamental stroke technique, footwork, movement, fun games and drills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. It also offers Beginner/Intermediate HS Classes for high school juniors and JV athletes, with refining stroke technique, enhancing footwork, advanced movement patterns, tactical play, and match preparation. The center also offers High School Advanced Class, Challenge Class, Adult Beginner Drill & Play, Adult Intro to Tennis, 3.0+ Adult Skills and Drills, and private and small-group lessons.

• 10 and Under & Middle School Class — Designed for kids ages 6-14 · Mondays & Wednesdays 6:00-7:30pm · $35–$360 per class · Focuses on fundamental stroke technique, footwork, movement, fun games and drills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Beginner/Intermediate HS Classes — High school juniors and JV athletes · Mondays & Wednesdays 6:00-7:30pm · $35–$360 per class · Focuses on refining stroke technique, enhancing footwork, advanced movement patterns, tactical play, and match preparation.
• High School Advanced Class — High school varsity and tournament-level athletes · Mondays 7:30-9pm, Tuesday & Thursday 6:00-7:30pm · $30–$420 per class · Designed for advanced players; emphasizes advanced techniques, strategic gameplay, match simulations, coaching, game strategy, conditioning, and performance under pressure.
• Challenge Class — 3.5+ players · Tuesdays 7:30-9:00pm · $40–$240 per class · Led by Coach Nanase and a skilled college player; focuses on live singles and doubles scenarios, strategy, point play, drills, and match situations.
• Adult Beginner Drill & Play — Beginner and intermediate adults · Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00-7:30pm · $35–$180 per class · Combines essential drills with instructional guidance, covering stroke techniques, footwork, basic strategies, and playtime.
• Adult Intro to Tennis — Players with little to no tennis experience · Tuesdays 10-11am through September · $20–$60 per class · Learn fundamental strokes, serving, footwork, scoring, and court positioning through drills and games; minimum 2 players needed to run class.
• 3.0+ Adult Skills and Drills — Intermediate recreational players rated 3.0 and above · Wednesdays 10-11:30AM through September · Fast-paced class with live-ball drills, strategy, match-play situations, shot selection, movement, attacking and defending, and doubles tactics.

About the provider

The George Fox Tennis Center says it is built on the desire to serve the community and families through the sport of tennis. It says it is the only indoor facility in the greater Newberg area and aims to make tennis easily accessible to families and players of all skill levels with no giant memberships or initiation fees and affordable coaching and instruction.

• Private Lessons — $25–$70 · Private and small-group lessons are available; rates per hour are $50-$70 for private lesson, $35-$40 each for 2-3 person lesson, and $25-$35 each for 4-6 players.

No memberships/initiation fees. Drop ins and group discount pricing are available. Private lesson policies include payment due before, during, or directly after lesson; late cancellation within 12 hours requires payment except emergencies at instructor discretion; payment not completed within 24 hours is subject to a $10 late fee. Proper tennis attire and shoes are required; players 10 and older need tennis shoes or white soled athletic shoes.
