Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury, and in case of an emergency, campers are transported to the nearest hospital. Transportation is not provided, and campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. Players are expected to bring their own knee pads, athletic equipment, at least one pair of well-broken-in volleyball court shoes, and a clearly labeled volleyball, and NBC Camps is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Lunch and dinner are provided for extended day campers, who do not sleep on campus or eat breakfast on campus. Parents can give money to the camp bank so campers can purchase merchandise or snacks from the camp store, and parents are asked to retrieve any unspent money on the last day of camp. Campers are encouraged to bring a fan for the dorms because there is no air conditioning.
