eNRG Kayaking Youth Programs and Summer Camps offers kids summer camps and paddlesport summer camps that include Discovery Camp as an introductory option and a whitewater Adventure Camp focused on white water kayaking instruction. Youth activities also include flat water paddling tours, kayak and SUP rentals, the Willamette Falls guided kayaking tour, whitewater raft trips, inflatable kayak trips, scenic raft trips, rafting on the Santiam River, and floats on the Clackamas River. Additional youth-focused options include After School With Transport, Kayaking In The Pool, Youth Kayak Team, No-School Break Camps, and internships, along with special sessions such as Intro to Kayak/Paddleboard Pool Classes.
• Schedule: Seasonal hours include periods with phone or email reservations only, weekday reservations with weekend walk-ins, and daily open hours that at times run from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with last rentals one hour before closing.
• Price: Single Kayak: $25/first hour, $20/second hour, $80/full day. Paddleboard (SUP): $25/first hour, $20/second hour, $80/full day. Tandem Canoe: $40/first hour, $32/second hour, $100/full day. Tandem Kayak: $40/first hour, $32/second hour, $100/full day.
The program also offers tubing rentals and shuttles, City Lights Night Paddle, Live Music On The Water, Ladies Night, and Yoga By The River (Paddle & Flow), as well as the Willamette Falls Kayak Tour, which is described as its signature trip. Flatwater options are complemented by a whitewater location 25 miles east of Salem in Mill City and Gates, Oregon, offering white water all summer long on the North Fork of the Santiam River. Each participant needs to sign a waiver before every trip, and it is recommended that waivers be completed online in advance, with arrival 10 to 15 minutes before the trip.

The staff consists of Olympic champions, river rescue experts, American Canoe Association (ACA) instructor trainers, and many dedicated and certified instructors. The leadership team includes Director Sam Drevo, Owner Justin Rae, Operations Manager Kurt Doettger, Assistant Operations Manager Lee Belowski, Youth Program Supervisor Jacob Verhaegh, Whitewater Rafting Manager Brock Browning, and Lead Kayak Instructor Nathan Watt. The organization’s mission statement says that eNRG Kayaking is passionate and dedicated to providing paddling experiences for experts and novices alike.
eNRG Kayaking was founded by extreme kayak champion Sam Drevo, who has received the Jon Muir award from the Yosemite Film Festival and the “Green Giant” award from the Portland Tribune. The program is described as one of the top paddling schools in the Northwest. Community partners include We Love Clean Rivers, Rios Lodge, Team River Runner, StoneWater Training, Mt Hood Territory, N. Clack Aquatic Park, LifeBalance, Tree Climbing at Silver Falls, and Unity Blaze Certified Partner. eNRG Kayaking works with Team River Runner and Oregon Disability Sports’ paddling programs and serves on the board of We Love Clean Rivers and the Tourism Board for Clackamas County Oregon.
