Acting for Kids and Teens describes its mission as a place where creativity, confidence, and fun come together. The studio is led by founder and coach Katie O'Grady and describes itself as a fun, supportive studio led by professional working actors. Acting coaches are working professionals who work in TV/film, theater, voiceover, and career development, and the program describes its training as grounded in Meisner and layered with tools from Suzuki, Sense Memory, improv, and body work. The studio describes itself as a full support system with dedicated behind-the-scenes staff and career coaching for parents and kids, and notes that students have landed spots on some shows described as GREAT. The Make-A-Movie Workshop pairs young actors with industry professionals such as directors, makeup artists, sound mixers, and crew, and every student in this workshop leaves with a film.

The program operates in a 2,300+ sq. ft. studio with free Wi-Fi, tables, a cozy lobby, and a kitchen, and states that students can train, create, and feel at home there. Parents are welcome to stay during class and use the Wi-Fi, tables, lobby, and kitchen.

Testimonials from parents and students describe Katie O'Grady and the coaches as wonderful, supportive, and nurturing, and mention that classes are fun and creative. One testimonial from a current actor in Los Angeles with a Theatre and Music degree from Pepperdine University states that time spent at the studio better prepared them for a future career in a loving, safe, and supportive environment. Other testimonials describe the studio as a great place for formal acting training and preparation to be in front of a camera, and as a place where teachers encourage students to take risks, work as a team, learn new skills, and grow as performers, artists, and humans. Multiple families note that their children love Katie and the teachers and that they are deeply grateful for the program, and one long-term student of three years states that the community, coaching, and opportunities are unbeatable.
