Art World School Camps and Classes offers a wide range of art and enrichment activities, including Fine Art drawing and painting, clay hand building and pottery, Arts & Crafts and 3D art projects such as architecture, sculpture, and mixed media, as well as yoga and STEM art projects that include math, science, or engineering concepts. Students can also take calligraphy with calligraphy and fountain pens, studio art with drawing, painting, or digital art projects, print making, knitting, weaving, origami, jewelry and candle making, beading, rock painting, book making, wax stamps, soap carving, card making, cloth dying, fabric art, dioramas, 3D layered paper art, lamp covers, paper mache, mask making, decorative tiles, plaster molding, box and clay carving, wood projects, relief making, making stationery items, miniature objects, Stop Motion Animation Class, core subject tutoring and homework help, chess and games, Digital Art and Animation classes, Online Fine Art Classes, and Fine Art Classes in person or online for drawing and painting.

• Schedule: Summer Camp runs June 15–August 21, 2026, with No School Day Camp available June 12 and August 24, 2026; daily camp options include optional before care from 8:00–8:45am, structured art and enrichment classes through the day, and pick-up by 6:15pm, with weekly themes from June 15–August 21, 2026.
• Price: Trial Class for new students $20 (group class) or $30 (one-on-one or 1 hour 2 student class), with Fine Art Classes starting at $27 per class; supplies are included for trial classes.
Art World School is a professional skill-based art school established in 1997 in Portland and now located in NW Portland, and since its establishment it has held numerous events for students and the community and students have received recognition and art awards in state, national, and international art competitions. The school stresses the importance of students learning the fundamentals of art, concepts, and methods first, and it was established as a learning center for students of all ages who are interested in art to learn specific skills and create the art they want to make. All classes are led by teachers who are professional artists, with professional instructors teaching each student step by step with constant feedback; Mimi Yan has extensive teaching experience with students of all ages and has received training in fine art, graphic design, and art history in New York, abroad, and Portland, Oregon, and later expanded Art World School and established the school as a learning center.
Art World School offers Level 1 classes for ages 4–6, Level 2 for ages 7–9, and Level 3 for ages 10 and up, with classes available every day and options for day, evening, weekend, Summer Camp, Spring Camp, Winter Camp, and After School program classes, including programs for preschoolers, ages 4–7, ages 8–15, adults, and families. Summer Camp Half Day and Full Day packages can be used for any days of the camp, optional before care is available for an additional cost, and students bring their own food for lunch and may eat their own snack during optional before care. Each class is part of a preplanned curriculum that teaches a project step by step, with each project aiming to teach art skills and concepts and combining technical direction with creative expression; each class has a maximum of 15 students with a teacher and teaching assistant, class sizes are always small, and each student's lesson plan is personalized to suit the individual, their level, and interests, with the instructor giving each student individual attention, instruction, and feedback during each class. Studio Art Class allows students to choose their own Fine Art Project or Digital Art Project and receive individual instruction, Fine Art classes use a variety of mediums and techniques, Arts & Crafts and 3D Art classes use a wide array of materials and incorporate elements of architecture and sculpture, calligraphy classes teach fundamental methods and techniques with different pens and brushes, clay classes use air dry clay, modeling clay, and Fimo clay, and STEM classes include engineering, science, or math concepts and allow students to conduct some experiments and learn about design.
Art World School holds two art shows every year for all students and holds art performance events every year for students to demonstrate live drawing. The school holds its annual Student Art Show at the Portland Art Museum and showcases student artwork every year at Washington Square Mall as well as the Portland Art Museum, with additional annual art shows at Cedar Mill library and other venues in the Portland, Beaverton, Bethany, Tigard, West Linn, Lake Oswego, Vancouver, and Clackamas areas. Art World School has partnered with Warner Bros on art classes for students to create artwork on Fantastic Beasts: Secrets of Dumbledore to celebrate the release of the movie, where students attended an advance screening and received promotional items. Students participate in live drawing and various state, national, and international art competitions, including contests such as Doodle for Google, the Federal Junior Duck Stamp competition, State Fish Competition, Oregon Humane Society Annual Poster Contest, Cray Pas Wonderful Colorful World Art Competition, World Children's Museum Art Competition, Unicef Card Design Competition, Co/Alliance for Justice Poster Contest, and more, with students from the Portland, Beaverton, Bethany, Tigard, Vancouver, Lake Oswego, West Linn, Clackamas, and greater Portland area receiving success with their submissions. Media publications about Art World School and its students have appeared in the Oregonian, Tigard Times, Portland Chinese Times, and other outlets.
