Explorer Camp includes activities such as hiking, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, biking, yoga, art, music, and storytime yoga. A sample week includes kayaking and yoga on Monday, art and on-site biking on Tuesday, biking and yoga on Wednesday, music and stand-up paddleboarding on Thursday, and hiking and art on Friday.
• Ages: 5–7 years old
• Schedule: One-week sessions, Monday–Friday, with regular camp hours from 9 AM to 3 PM and extended hours available from 8 AM to 6 PM; total camp hours are 30 per week
• Price: One-week price $740; Early Drop Off starting at 8 AM $40; After Care from 3–6 PM $115; Avid4 merch available with prices that vary (tax included)
Explorer Camp is part of Avid4 Adventure, whose mission states that kids build confidence, make new friends, and master essential skills in activities like paddling, biking, rock climbing, and hiking, and that the organization was created to give kids a love of outdoor activity and to support future caretaking of the planet. The program offers a camper-to-staff ratio of 5:1, provides transportation to and from recreation areas, and gives campers access to top-of-the-line gear specifically sized for kids.
