Girls Build offers summer camps with workshops in the morning and afternoon, and campers are split into crews of 10. It also offers workshops and classes during November-May, with after-school workshops and women-led instruction in small groups of 10-15 girls or women. Summer camp participants receive breakfast and lunch, and they take home their own safety glasses and ear protection.

About the provider
Girls Build is a non-profit organization based in Portland, Oregon, founded in 2016. In 2025, the site stated that it served over 600 youth across Oregon, and since 2016 it has taught nearly 5,000 girls through summer camp and after-school programming. Its programming intentionally reaches girls in foster care, girls of color, and girls from low-income households. Every girl in Oregon’s foster care system attends free, and the organization has awarded partial or full scholarships to over 1,800 youth and has served over 220 foster care kids for free.
Camp registration opens in February. Camps can sell out fast. Registration has 3 steps: purchase ticket, complete registration form, and sign liability waiver and photo release. Every camper must have a signed waiver before camp. SummerWorks Intern Program is on hold.
