About the provider
Oregon Irish Dance Academy was founded in 2017 by sisters Christina and Victoria White. The program is non-competitive and recreational, and it says Christina and Victoria are the teachers mentioned on the site. Christina passed the TCRG exam in 2020, earning Honors in the dancing section and a perfect score on the music section. The site says Christina and Victoria are background checked by The Children's Gym, and OIDA runs background checks for all additional staff members. Each year, OIDA dancers, families, and friends may march and dance in the local St. Patrick's Day parade.
The program is non-competitive, recreational, curriculum-based, and allows students to start anytime. Tuition is charged monthly for classes. Camp tuition is charged at enrollment, is non-refundable, and is non-transferable. All new students ages 4-11 get a free trial class and 50% off the first month of tuition; the registration fee is waived for the first month offer. Recital participation and St. Patrick's Day parade participation are not required.
What families say
“The whole car ride home I heard "the parrot story" over and over. It's the little things like that that make OIDA's camps phenomenal. So many camps my kids try out are just daycare - Irish Dance Camp goes above and beyond to make camp fun. My girls always want to go back.” — JILL, MOM OF 2 DANCERS
“This camp is incredible. It's not just learning to Irish dance, it's beads, "The Chef", ubby dubby, crafts -- the most awesome crafts! The point is, it's FUN. They fill a day for my daughters with fun activities that they talk my ear off about when they get home. We love OIDA!” — STEVE, DAD OF 2 DANCERS
