Journey to STEAM began in 2023 and delivers hands-on STEM programs across the Pacific Northwest in partnership with families, schools, districts, and community organizations. The mission of Journey to STEAM is to deliver rigorous, cutting-edge STEAM education that empowers children to become future creators and innovators, with every lesson integrating hands-on exploration, emerging technology, and collaborative projects. The program offers customized solutions ranging from after-school programs for parents to full-scale summer camps and day programs for districts, with options that are screen-free or tech-forward and that can integrate with literacy or math curricula. The curriculum is described as flexible and ever-evolving, goes beyond gimmicks, and is supported by impact reports, attendance and engagement tracking, optional academic progress measurement, and impact data tracking and reporting.

Journey to STEAM is led by founder Dr. Arielle Hammond, a former school principal and local mom, and the team includes certified teachers and professionals with years of classroom and administrative experience. Each instructor receives hands-on training and coaching from Dr. Arielle, and the program reports that it hires fewer than 10 percent of applicants. Programs are intentionally designed to develop confidence, creativity, and resilient problem-solving, and they are offered in small group settings to ensure personal attention while providing culturally responsive hands-on STEAM experiences in schools and organizations.
