Since 1947, Tucker Maxon has taught children to listen, talk, learn and achieve excellence together. Tucker Maxon School teaches deaf and hearing children to listen, talk, learn, and achieve excellence together, with co-enrollment of deaf or hard-of-hearing and typical hearing children learning together. It is an auditory-verbal school teaching listening and spoken language, and sign language (ASL) is taught in an after school club and a playgroup. The campus includes a large organic garden, a treehouse, chickens, goats, a greenhouse, and open space for children to be around the natural world in the summer.
