Twin Rocks Friends Camp & Conference Center Youth Camps take place at Twin Rocks Friends Camp & Conference Center and are part of the Christian camps and retreats sponsored there. Twin Rocks Friends Camp & Conference Center was established in 1918, and 2018 marked its one-hundredth year. It is owned by the evangelical Friends Churches of western Oregon and southwest Washington, and its mission is “To use God’s creation and a Christ-centered environment to promote personal growth and devotion to Jesus Christ.” The organization sponsors Christian camps and retreats and also makes its facilities and grounds available for rental to other groups, including Christian groups and secular groups with educational and/or family-building emphases. Its leadership team includes Executive Director Ken Beebe, Operations Director Paul Lewis, Program Director Tiffany Briley, Guest Services Director Katey Astleford, Facilities Director Jeff Sargent, Development Director Liz Seume, Food Service Director Karl Seume, Housekeeping Manager Mary Kyle, Outdoor Education Coordinator Ariana Greer, and Assistant Facilities Director David LaPlante. In 2018, Twin Rocks Friends Camp & Conference Center held a Centennial Celebration event on July 21 attended by 850 friends of Twin Rocks and created a museum slideshow titled “A Remarkable Century of Camp Ministry” showcasing 250 photos from the camp’s first century.
