About

Twin Rocks Friends Camp & Conference Center Youth Camps take place at a site that includes an 80-acre temperate rainforest, a spring-fed lake, a mountain stream, a wetlands boardwalk, and access to a Pacific Ocean beach. The camps are part of a broader program that hosts camps and retreats for people of all ages and sponsors Christian camps and retreats. The facilities and grounds are also made available for rental to Christian groups and to secular groups with educational and family-building emphases.

Twin Rocks Friends Camp & Conference Center is owned by the evangelical Friends Churches of western Oregon and southwest Washington. Its mission statement is “To use God’s creation and a Christ-centered environment to promote personal growth and devotion to Jesus Christ.” The organization operates according to core values that include Christ-centered camping, devotion to Scripture, community building, discipleship and leadership development, serenity, excellence, fun and safety, and commitment and dedication. Twin Rocks Friends Camp’s first “conference” was held in 1918, and 2018 marked the one-hundredth year since it was established. The camp celebrated its Centennial on July 21, 2018, with a grand celebration attended by 850 friends of Twin Rocks and created a museum slideshow titled “A Remarkable Century of Camp Ministry” showcasing 250 photos from its first century of ministry. The leadership team includes Ken Beebe (Executive Director), Paul Lewis (Operations Director), Tiffany VanDame (Program Director), Katey Astleford (Guest Services Director), Jeff Sargent (Facilities Director), Liz Seume (Development Director), Karl Seume (Food Service Director), Mary Kyle (Housekeeping Manager), Ariana Greer (Outdoor Education Coordinator), and David LaPlante (Assistant Facilities Director).
