• Ages: 0–12 years old
• Schedule: 30 minute swim lessons once a week, with class options available Monday–Friday during daytime and late afternoon/evening hours, and on Saturday mornings

Salem Swim School describes its mission as being fully dedicated to helping create strong and confident swimmers through a swim lesson program centered around a highly effective skill and safety progression for each level. The program states that its goal is to cultivate confident and successful swimmers in a positive and safe environment, and that it believes every child should learn how to be safe and skilled in and around water. Salem Swim School also states that it aims to keep building each week with simple steps that lead to long term success, and that it believes a consistent swimmer who shows up each week and gives their best effort will be successful in learning how to safely swim.

The program notes that its instructors are compassionate and experienced. Families are asked to have the swimmer wearing swim gear with goggles on, and a swim diaper and Happy Nappy if necessary, to use the restroom in the lobby before lessons, to avoid bringing glass on the pool deck, and to check in at the front desk on the iPad to grab the swimmer’s lesson wristband and leave it on.

Parent reviews describe instructors and staff as helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, patient, attentive, and kind, and mention that the pool space is warm and clean without an excessive chlorine smell or feeling on the skin. Several parents report that their children enjoy class time, love their swim classes, and are learning how to swim while having fun. One parent notes that their child went from refusing to get hair wet to diving under and showing skills, and another shares that a child who had been afraid of the water at a previous program became comfortable going in the water and floating unassisted after lessons at Salem Swim School. Parents also mention Baby and Me and parent/tot classes, rolling admission and month-based classes, the use of fun games and songs to teach foundational skills, and communication with the owner to sign up and find swim slots that work for their family. One parent comments that there are no make up classes. Multiple reviewers say they highly recommend Salem Swim School and that it is the only place they will take their kids to learn to swim.
