About

Illahe Hills Country Club Junior Tennis Classes include Red, Red/Orange, Green, and Highschool/Tournament groups that focus on specific tennis skills and movement. Activities include Red Pre-Rally work with fundamental movement skills such as agility, balance, and coordination, along with sending and receiving skills like rolling, tossing, throwing, and catching. Classes use games for the hands and feet as building blocks for rallying, serving, scoring, and technique, and progress into more tennis-specific activities such as rallying, playing points with basic strategy, beginning points with the serve, live points, and advanced drills and footwork.

• Schedule: Class options on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the afternoon; Red meets Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30pm–4:00pm, Red/Orange meets Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00pm–4:45pm, Green meets Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:45pm–6:00pm, and Highschool/Tournament meets Mondays and Wednesdays 4:30pm–6:00pm
• Price: Red: $12; Red/Orange: $17; Green: $29; Highschool/Tournament: $33

In the Green and Highschool/Tournament levels, players work on rallying together at the appropriate level and developing ball control in direction, height, depth, speed, and spin. These groups also focus on all phases of tennis-specific movement, including agility, balance, coordination, speed, and strength, along with advanced tossing, throwing, and catching activities. Drills and games include play strategy, fun competition, and a class devoted to live ball drills.
