Keizer Youth Basketball Association offers a recreational basketball league and a tournament basketball program called Future Celts. The program includes KYBA Recreational League Evaluations, tournament basketball through the Future Celts tournament program, and opportunities to officiate KYBA recreational basketball. It also holds a Future Celts Night event as part of its activities.
• Ages: 6–13 years old
• Schedule: Recreational season runs from November until March with 8 weeks of games, one or two nights of 60-minute practices depending on grade level; recreational evaluations are at the beginning of November; practices start the week after Thanksgiving; games start the first Saturday in January and the season ends either the last Saturday of February or the first Saturday of March
• Price: $150 for KYBA Recreational Basketball
Online basketball registration opens September 1 for the recreational basketball league for grades 1st–8th and the Future Celts tournament program for grades 4th–8th for boys and girls. Registration for tournament basketball closes October 12, and registration for recreational basketball closes November 19. When schools close due to weather or other emergency situations, all evening practices for that day are canceled. The program is led by the KYBA Board. The association thanks its sponsors and shares a Dick's Sporting Goods 20% off discount that is valid from Friday, October 31 through Monday, November 3, which requires families to show the flyer at the Salem store front upon checkout.
