Volunteer coaches have access to a clinic taught by the Sprague high school coaching staff.

• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Schedule: Key dates include August 4 for tackle helmets and pads checkout from 6–8pm, August 5–7–8 for Sprague youth camp from 5:30–7pm, August 19 for the start of flag practices, August 23 for a tackle-only jamboree, and September 6 for the start of games.

Sprague Youth Football is part of TVYFL (Tualatin Valley Youth Football League), which is a non-profit football club. TVYFL offers a tackle program for 3rd through 8th grade youth in the Tualatin Valley and Portland metropolitan area in Oregon and includes over 50 associations, over 6,500 players, and more than 500 volunteer coaches. The TVYFL mission states that it is a non-profit football club whose goal is to provide safe and enjoyable athletic competition, with good sportsmanship, fun developing student athletes, and individual growth as its main goals.

For 2025, Sprague Youth Football team options include K–2nd Flag, 3rd–4th Grade Flag, 3rd–4th Grade Rookie Tackle, 5th–6th Grade Flag, 5th–6th Grade Tackle, and new 7th Grade Tackle and 8th Grade Tackle teams. All player registrations are now closed, but the program still needs coaches. There is a Sprague FB Swag Store and a Sprague Youth Football Team Store, as well as a Sprague Youth Sponsor form for those who want to help a player.

Equipment logistics for tackle include helmet and shoulder pad fitting and handout during the August 4 checkout. A physical examination is required for tackle and is valid for 2 years from the date of signature by anyone licensed or approved by the state of Oregon, and there is a TVYFL Flag Football Medical Release Form. Anyone who may be in contact with players, including volunteers and coaches, must complete a background check and federal abuse prevention training.
