About

Bristol Borough Learning Centers – 21st Century Community Learning Centers offers academic enrichment opportunities and a broad array of enrichment activities that complement regular academic programs. The program includes STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and STREAM (Science, Technology, Recreation, Arts and Mathematics) curriculums, year-round credit-recovery for high school students, activities to enrich students' lives, and a summer-camp. The program also offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Price: Programs and services provided at the 21st Century Community Learning Centers are free and available to all eligible students in grades K through 12.

The Academic Oversight Committee (AOC), established in 2010, provides year-round programs at community learning centers focused on academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for students deemed at risk. The programs are funded by a federal 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant and administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. An active group of community leaders, service providers and residents supports the centers, with key collaborations that include the Bristol Borough School District, St. Mark School, Bristol Borough Council, Bucks County Intermediate Unit, Ivins House, Grundy Library and Grundy Museum, King George II Inn, Raising the Bar, and Bucks County Community College. Fundraising is required all year long to supplement programming, including two premier events: the annual Bristol Fall Classic on the Saturday night before Thanksgiving and the Jazz on the River concert on the last Friday night in June.
