The camp describes its setting as a breathtaking piece of God’s artwork, surrounded by natural beauty and peaceful waters that offer a rare sense of tranquility. The stated core values include making the safety of campers the first priority, treating strangers like family, viewing camp as a place of spiritual and other growth, recognizing the island’s setting as pointing to the Creator, acknowledging that everything is owed to God the Father, teaching biblical truth rather than opinion, and viewing both camp and the Christian life as exciting and fun. Camp operations are supported by two families who live on-site year-round, a board, summer staff, and numerous volunteers who serve in many different roles throughout the year.
