About
Danville Summer Camps offers themed options including History Camp, Theatre Camp, Math + Science Camp, Reading Readiness Camp, Reading Camp, and D&D Camp (Dungeons and Dragons). Campers may reenact a famous battle, investigate ancient pictographs, employ the scientific method, conduct research, form hypotheses, design experiments, and analyze and conclude with verbal exchange. Theatre Camp includes acting, singing, dancing, set painting, costuming, make-up, and a chance to showcase skills in front of a live audience, while D&D Camp includes designing characters, painting custom miniatures, trying real-life versions of D&D skills, building their own material to take from camp to their next game, and campaigning every day.

• Schedule: All camps meet Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm
• Price: Each camp costs $220/week per camper (all materials provided).
History Camp explores many indigenous peoples from around the globe, the middle ages, ancient Egypt, and the Vikings. Math + Science Camp focuses each year on one area, such as Newton’s laws, water quality and aquatic biology, earth science, geology, or engineering, with age-appropriate modeling. Theatre Camp runs for 2 weeks of hands-on activities, and the 2023 Theatre Camp performance was Aesop’s Musical Fables. Reading Readiness Camp is only offered to emergent readers and focuses on phonemic awareness, reading fluency, and writing proficiency. D&D Camp is led by Dungeon Masters with up to ten years of D&D experience and is an activity-focused day camp that teaches and promotes fun and healthy approaches to tabletop gaming; no D&D materials are required, and campers are asked to come with a Chromebook or laptop if they are able.
