Camp Hickory includes games and group challenges, creative projects, kayaking on the lake, hiking and nature trails, fishing, and outdoor games and group challenges. Campers also have a picnic lunch at the park, and each camper brings a packed lunch for this meal.
• Schedule: Drop-off begins at 6:30 AM, camp programming runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and pick-up is by 6:00 PM
The program is offered at all four Hanover Area YMCA locations, and Codorus Adventure Camp takes place at Codorus State Park with campers traveling by YMCA bus from each branch to the park. Camp Hickory brings field trip-style experiences to the YMCA campuses with visiting performers, hands-on workshops, and interactive programs. Codorus Adventure Camp is offered during select weeks with limited availability, and transportation, supervision, and activities are included for this option. Camp registration is based on the child’s 2025–2026 school year grade level, full-time registration is required, and drop-off and pick-up must occur at the registered camp location. The Association Camp Director is Emily Ondrizek, and the program follows the mission “To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.”
