Fulton Academy takes place at Fulton Theatre, a nationally-regarded, professional regional theatre that produces musicals and plays featuring Broadway, national, and local talent and design. The program is connected to Fulton Theatre’s commitment to providing access to the arts, regardless of ability or financial need, and to cultivating a love for the arts within the hearts of students through Fulton Academy. Families attending related performances have access to lobbies that include live-feed TV areas so parents can view the show when children need a break.

• Schedule: Audio-described performances for vision-impaired patrons are offered on the second Saturday matinee (2 pm) and third Wednesday evening (7:30 pm) of every Mainstage production; ASL interpreters and open captioning are provided for the second Saturday matinee (2 pm), and open captioning is provided for the third Wednesday evening (7:30 pm) of every Mainstage production; Pay What You Want performances take place on the first Thursday preview of each Mainstage and Studio Series production and the first Saturday morning of each Family Series production

Fulton Theatre, which hosts Fulton Academy, is recognized as America’s Oldest Continuously-Operating Theatre and is a nationally-registered historic landmark. Its mission statement is: “We are a regional theatre creating exceptional experiences that move the collective soul of our community.” Community support for Fulton Theatre contributes to behind-the-scenes work on productions, supports competitive, living wages for artists, and helps the theatre give back to the community and cultivate a love for the arts within the hearts of students through programs such as Fulton Academy. Everyone in attendance at related performances must have a ticket, regardless of age, and any ticket for a child must be for a seat next to the seat occupied by the accompanying adult. Patrons are asked to silence all items that make noise and not use these devices during the performance, and photographic, video, or sound recording is prohibited. Pets are not allowed inside, but service dogs are allowed, and patrons who need a cushion are asked to bring their own.
