Summer Friends includes instructional and recreational swimming, Yoga with T. Gabrielle on Monday mornings, team-building games, collaborative play, and activities such as scavenger hunts in the Rain Garden and hidden-picture challenges. Campers take part in trips and special events including visits to the on-campus Plantarium, Linvilla Orchards, Brandywine Zoo, the Crayola Experience, Adventure Aquarium, Bettes Bounces, Summer Stage, and the Please Touch Museum, along with an “Amazing Spaghetti” lunch, water ice, a visit from the water ice truck, professional face painting, and the Friends Got Talent talent show. On campus, campers can build masterpieces with moveable foam blocks and use STEAM-focused climbers on the playground, and campers ages 5 and up participate in swimming at Knowlton Swim Club.
• Ages: 3–10 years old
• Schedule: Summer Friends 2026 runs for 10 weeks from June 15 to August 21, with full-day camp from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM and morning drop-off beginning at 8:00 AM; one-week registrations are available.
• Price: One week registration costs $400 per week, with a 10% discount for families who enroll for all 10 weeks; camp is closed July 3, and families who register for Week 3 receive a discount that is stated as 10% in one place and 20% in another.
Summer Friends is held on the Media-Providence Friends School campus, which features a state-of-the-art STEAM-themed playground with moveable foam blocks and STEAM-focused climbers, a dedicated Plantarium, a Rain Garden, a large rubberized turf field for sports, basketball hoops, and classic swings. Swimming at Knowlton Swim Club is with certified water safety instructors, and campers ages 5 and up participate in instructional and recreational swimming twice weekly. Mindful Movement Mondays bring all camp groups together for Yoga with T. Gabrielle themed to match each week’s adventure, and families are invited to a Family Kick-off Social with a light lunch before the first day, as well as to the Friends Got Talent camp talent show.
Summer Friends is part of Media-Providence Friends School, which was founded in 1876 and is led by Head of School Jon Hall, Ed.D. The school’s mission is “We awaken the passion and potential of all individuals within a welcoming, diverse community led by Friends values.” Summer Friends has been named a Talk of the Town Favorite Camp by Delaware County News Network. Testimonials from MPFS students describe their experiences at the school, including enjoying their time there, learning to treat people how they would like to be treated, and having opportunities to explore engineering. All children must be fully potty trained to attend camp, camp registration is nonrefundable with no fee reductions or reimbursements for missed days, and camp staff can be reached Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM, at 610-316-4961.
