Hope Academy Summer Camp is part of Hosanna House and runs under the 2026 theme “Hope Takes Flight.” The camp is called Hope Academy Summer Camp 2026 Hope Takes Flight and takes place from June 8 through August 7.

Since the early 1990s, Hosanna House has gathered people and pulled resources together. Over more than 30 years, Hosanna House has been intentionally cultivating community connections through partnerships with local organizations and by providing a one-stop-shop in its main building for health and human services. Hosanna House offers high-quality care and early education services to children from toddler age through high school, with a goal of producing a generation of children prepared for the successful transition into grade school and beyond. On any given day, as many as 1,000 community residents come into the center to receive or deliver services, and Hosanna House impacts the lives of over 40,000 people each year.
Hosanna House describes its mission as “Empowering people to celebrate life and their uniqueness in it,” and as “People working together providing opportunities that will empower families and individuals to discover, acknowledge and develop their maximum potential physically, spiritually and economically.” Rental dollars for event spaces are used to fuel Hosanna House’s mission, and its event venues are described as providing unforgettable celebrations and lasting memories. Hosanna House is committed to eradicating blight, restoring green space, providing affordable housing, and generating economic development in Wilkinsburg.
Hosanna House is an anchor in the community that has provided programs and essential services for the most vulnerable population. One parent testimonial notes that “They realize the importance of helping families in need by giving kids the opportunity to focus their energy into positive efforts with the many activities they provide, especially the beautiful Sherwood Event Center summer camp program.” This institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity, in accordance with federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies.
