Kinetic Kids Gymnastics Programs are part of a larger set of Kinetic Kids activities that include Gymnastics along with options such as AgilityFit, Dance, Cheerleading, Martial Arts, CrossFit, Taekwondo, and Zumba. In addition to gymnastics, the broader Kinetic Kids offerings also include sports and recreation activities such as Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Swimming, Volleyball, Tennis, Golf, Flag Football, Football, Track & Field, Wheelchair Basketball, Pickleball, Kickball, Dodgeball, Disc Sports, Archery, Skateboarding, Snow Skiing, Bike Camp, Outdoor Explorer, Diving, Sports Sampler, and Field & Splash Day, as well as programs like Art For All, BOOtanica, Drumming Around, Fiesta Art Day, Gingerbread Workshop, Music, Musical Theatre, and Robotics.
The mission of Kinetic Kids is to provide sports and recreation programs not typically available to children with special needs, with the stated intent to foster the development of courage, self esteem, pride and joy so these children can achieve new possibilities previously unimaginable. Programs are provided to San Antonio children with special needs, supported by donors who fund sports, recreational and educational programs. Kinetic Kids notes several unique features, including sports and recreation for all (dis)abilities, 290 programs, 3,460 scholarships awarded, and 21,700 lives impacted. Programs are offered at facilities borrowed and rented from more than 50 community partners across five counties: Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall and Medina.
