Inspired Minds Art Center - Art & Theatre Classes

Inspired Minds Art Center - Art & Theatre Classes offers hands-on art and theatre classes along with walk-in creative experiences such as drop-in & create and walk-in pottery painting. The program includes activities like musical theatre, improv, live theatre, live music, film, art nights, kids craft days, art meet-ups, art openings, rotating exhibits, and gallery exhibitions. Families can also take part in festivals, free community events, a weekly stitching, hand sewing, and fiber arts group, paint & sip nights, and special events such as the Buda Summer Musical: Wizard of Oz, a free paint & sip at Persimmon Homes, and free community yoga.

Inspired Minds Art Center was founded in 2019 by Sinéad Whiteside and Susan Guerra. Susan has a Mechanical Engineering Degree from UT Austin and a teaching certificate in Special Education, and Sinéad Whiteside has a Bachelor of Arts from UT Austin and a Masters of Education from Texas State University. The center states its mission is to support both local artists and the community by joining the two together to inspire a dialogue of creativity, passion, fine art, and a celebration of culture. Inspired Minds Art Center has partnered with Tandem Arts Partnership to provide the diverse community with greater access to the arts through targeted programs, community outreach, and financial assistance, and it states that it is creatively serving Buda, Kyle, San Marcos, Dripping Springs, Wimberley, New Braunfels, South Austin, Hays County, and the surrounding areas. The organization notes that it is a proudly local, woman-owned arts space where people of all ages and abilities can take multi-media art classes taught by local artists, and where artists find resources, workspace, and business support to make a living doing what they love. It offers an intimate, historic theatre space called The Chambers Theatre, rotating exhibits featuring local artists, parties and event rental options for the theatre, gallery, and art studios, and a virtual tour. Inspired Minds Art Center has been voted Best Texas Downtown Business, Best Gallery, Best Family Fun, Best Date Spot, and Friendliest Staff.
