School Age (SA) Centers

School Age (SA) Centers offer before-school, after-school, full-day, and seasonal care, as well as care during school closures and Summer Camp. The program operates two before- and after-school sites that escort children to and from schools that are on post or adjacent to post. No hourly care is being offered due to COVID-19 protocol.

• Ages: 6–11 years old
• Schedule: Weekday before- and after-school care with early morning opening times and afternoon closing times; breakfast service ends at 7:30am

Family and MWR, which operates the School Age (SA) Centers, is a network of support and leisure services that serves the needs, interests and responsibilities of individuals in the Army community and enhances the quality of their lives. Family and MWR programs include family, child and youth programs, recreation, sports, entertainment, travel and leisure activities, and employees strive to deliver programs and services at each installation. Family and MWR supports Army readiness by caring for people who serve and stand ready to defend the nation. Working parents whose children do not attend schools serviced by the programs in the EPISD can request a “Working Parent Transfer” to a listed school through Pupil Services at 6531 Boeing Drive. Children arriving after buses have departed become the parent’s responsibility to transport to school.
