School Age (SA) Centers

School Age (SA) Centers offer before-school care, after-school care, full-day care, care during school closures, seasonal and holiday school breaks, and Summer Camp. The program operates two before- and after-school sites that escort children to and from schools that are on post or adjacent to post. No hourly care is being offered due to COVID-19 protocol, and breakfast at the centers ends at 7:30am.

• Ages: 6–12 years old
• Schedule: Weekday options including before-school, after-school, and full-day care, with some weekend programs

Bliss School-Age Center provides before- and after-school and full-day care for children who attend Bliss Elementary School, Hughey Elementary School, Ross Middle School (before school care only), Logan Elementary School, Colin Powell Elementary School, and Travis Elementary School. Milam School-Age Center provides before- and after-school and full-day care and weekend programs for children who attend Milam Elementary School and Ross Middle School (before school care only). Children who arrive at a center after buses have departed must be transported to school by their parent.

Family and MWR states that it is a network of support and leisure services that serves the needs, interests, and responsibilities of individuals in the Army community and enhances the quality of their lives, and that it helps ensure Army readiness by caring for people who serve and stand ready to defend the nation. Working parents whose children do not attend schools serviced by these programs in the EPISD can request a “Working Parent Transfer” to a listed school through Pupil Services at 6531 Boeing Drive.
