Chara Christian Dance Academy offers dance classes, music lessons, day camps, Bloom Fine Arts Preschool, toddler movement, and private dance lessons. Students can take classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, acro, contemporary, drill technique, adult ballet, DanceABILITIES, Parent & Tot classes, and Mommy & Me classes. The program also offers Boppin’ Babies, Parent/Tot Creative Movement & Acro, Tippy Toes, dance and acro classes for young children, and graded technique classes in various styles.

Chara Christian Dance Academy’s music department includes over 120 students and 8 instructors, and music students receive 30-minute one-on-one studio lessons with a Music Instructor. The academy’s founder is Shanna Kirkpatrick. The stated mission is to provide every student with exemplary dance and music instruction in an uplifting environment, with a faith based environment and a team of role models that contribute to students’ self-worth, confidence, and character. The studio is a Youth Protection Advocates in Dance Certified Studio, and it describes itself as a “third place” outside home and school where students are loved, valued, and accepted. Families choose Chara for its faith based environment, attention to each child, creative choreography, and community contributions.
Bloom Fine Arts is described as a faith-based learning environment for children ages 3 to 6, with developmentally appropriate activities that promote intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development. Bloom Fine Arts includes exploration of shapes, name and letter recognition, writing, calendar, weather, numbers and counting, and an introduction to Spanish. Boppin’ Babies (9–24 months), Parent/Tot Creative Movement & Acro (18 months–2 years), and Tippy Toes (2 years) are offered year-round, including summer, along with dance and acro classes for ages 3–6 and graded technique classes in various styles for ages 7 and up, with placement required for advanced levels. DanceABILITIES is offered for ages 14 and up with special needs, and adult ballet is offered for ages 18 and up.
Camp Creative & Adventure are monthly themed dance camps with games, crafts, and dancing in a high-energy, encouraging environment, and each camp session is 1.5 hours. The program’s community involvement is noted as one reason families choose Chara.
