YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas Youth Programs and Camps offers resident and day camps, youth sports, Adventure Guides, after school programs, and a Safety Around Water Program. The program also includes a Summer Learning Academy, swim programs, fitness classes, nutrition education, wellness initiatives, and family events such as Family Fun Day. Additional activities include the Scott Mages Memorial Triathlon and Scott Mages Memorial Spin & Express Bodypump classes, as well as the Adventure Guides Program.

The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas has been serving the community for over 135 years and offers over 250 programs. The organization is led in part by Elise Back, Chief Growth Officer. Its mission states that it is a nonprofit organization serving almost 200,000 people annually through programs, outreach, and events throughout Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Palo Pinto, and Rockwall counties. Community involvement includes volunteerism, outreach programs, partnerships, and the development of Cindy Hess Memorial Park in partnership with the City of Waxahachie and Ellis County, Texas.
One parent, Mayela, shared that during a divorce and transition to one income, the YMCA provided a scholarship for her son to play baseball. Another participant, Shirley, from the Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program, reported that staff support helped her identify that her blood pressure was in the danger zone and led to a change in her medication.
