The Cypress Creek FACE Summer Orchestra Camp Program offers summer orchestra camps that include a 6th Grade Strings Camp and Summer Strings for 7th, 8th and 9th grade students. The program includes workshops, master classes, collaborative concerts, special family concerts, and free children’s concerts, along with special student ticket prices.
• Ages: 11–15 years old
• Schedule: The Summer Orchestra Camp Program includes the 6th Grade Strings Camp in June and the Summer Strings for 7th, 8th and 9th grade students in July each summer.
Cypress Creek FACE’s mission is to enrich the community by presenting a wide array of performing artists and educational programs. Cypress Creek FACE presents national and international performing artists and provides master classes, free children’s concerts, summer orchestra camps, and college scholarships for local students. The Free Children’s Series highlights opera, puppetry, drama, classical music, and popular music, and since the 2000–2001 season it has been underwritten by The Centrum Arts League, allowing Cypress Creek FACE to invite all to attend the concert free. Cypress Creek FACE works with local retirement communities, nursing homes, and senior groups to provide programming and socialization, and The Menil Duo, formed in Houston and named after the Menil Collection, shares the mission to attract, educate, and inspire diverse audiences through art.
