Camp Waldemar is an all-girls, residential summer camp that offers activities such as horseback riding, ceramics, trick roping, synchronized swimming, journalism, culinary arts, soccer, and golf. Campers can choose from over 30 activities during their time at camp. The camp also features historic kampongs and serves what it describes as incredible cuisine.
• Ages: 7–17 years old
• Schedule: Off Season hours Monday–Friday 8:30 am–4:30 pm and Saturday–Sunday by appointment; Summer hours Monday–Saturday 7:30 am–around 10:00 pm and Sunday 9:00 am–9:00 pm
Camp Waldemar was founded in 1926 by Ora Johnson. The camp’s stated mission is to provide a wholesome and fun atmosphere where each girl can grow spiritually, mentally, and physically in becoming her finest self. The program offers four weeks of programming in two long-term sessions called First Term and Second Term, and it also hosts 2nd–5th grade girls for one week at the beginning of each summer during Short Term. Camp Waldemar is a proud member of C.A.M.P. and is licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
