Boys & Girls Club of Walker County offers homework assistance, tutoring, wholesome recreation, and leadership activities for its members. Every day after school, children receive homework assistance and tutoring, and when schoolwork is completed, they take part in programs that focus on leadership and character development.

Since 2003, Boys & Girls Club of Walker County has been operating in Huntsville, Texas for the benefit of youth throughout Walker County. The organization is independent from the Boys & Girls Club of America but operates with the full support of and recognition by that organization. It serves as a safe haven to more than 500 members, with two sites serving four elementary, intermediate, and middle schools and surrounding communities throughout Huntsville and Walker County, and approximately 250 young people participate each day in its programs. Boys & Girls Club of Walker County offers nationally recognized programs designed first to enhance educational development, and its mission is to inspire all Walker County's young people, especially those who need it most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
Boys & Girls Club of Walker County is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit child development organization and has been voted the Best Civic Club / Non-Profit Organization and Kids Activities in Walker County. Its leadership team includes Michelle Spencer, who serves as the Equal Opportunity Officer. Boys & Girls Club of Walker County receives funding and in-kind support from partners including the City of Huntsville, Walker County, Huntsville Independent School District, and hundreds of private donors.
