About
Boys & Girls Club of Walker County offers homework assistance, tutoring, wholesome recreation, and leadership activities for its members. Everyday after school, children receive homework assistance and tutoring through nationally recognized programs that are designed first to enhance educational development. The Club operates at full capacity with spots available on a first-come, first-served basis, and summer registration is open.

Since 2003, Boys & Girls Club of Walker County has been operating, and 2026 marks 23 years of service to the children and families of Walker County. The organization is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit child development organization and is recognized and supported by Boys & Girls Club of America, while remaining independent from that national organization. Boys & Girls Club of Walker County has been voted the Best Civic Club / Non-Profit Organization and Kids Activities in Walker County. The Club serves more than 500 members, with approximately 250 young people participating each day in its programs and services for ages 5–14. Its mission is to inspire all Walker County's young people, especially those who need it most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
