Kickapoo Kamp for Girls

Kickapoo Kamp for Girls is a private residential girls summer camp that offers over 30 activities in a family environment with well-maintained facilities and home-cooked meals. The camp limits enrollment to around 110 campers and emphasizes a “family” atmosphere supported by experienced staff and a low staff-to-camper ratio in both program areas and living groups.

Established in 1925, Kickapoo Kamp for Girls has been in operation for over 90 years, with traditions carried on by three generations of the Ford-Findlay family, and generations of families have returned over the years. The camp’s mission is to offer a fun environment that helps to build self-confidence, self-awareness, and self-acceptance. Counselors are selected for mature judgment, prior camp experience, and leadership qualifications, and they are highly trained young women from colleges and universities, many of whom were campers at the camp. The camp notes that blankets are needed at night and sweaters are comfortable for mornings and evenings, and the first aid attendant is specially trained to work in a camp setting.
