Kickapoo Kamp for Girls

Kickapoo Kamp for Girls is a private residential girls summer camp that offers over 30 activities that challenge and interest every camper. The camp provides well-maintained facilities, exciting programs, delicious home-cooked meals, experienced staff, and a family environment.

Kickapoo Kamp for Girls was established in 1925, and for over 90 years generations of families have shared its traditions and memories. The tradition is carried on by three generations of the Ford-Findlay family, who are committed to a quality camp experience. The camp maintains a low staff-to-camper ratio in both program areas and living groups to ensure that children are well-supervised, and relationships develop among all ages, not just within a camper’s own age group.

Kickapoo uses much care in selecting counselors of mature judgment who have had considerable experience in leading girls of camp age. Counselors are from colleges and universities and are chosen for their prior camp experience and leadership qualifications, and many have been campers there, so the camp has known them and their families for years. The staff consists of highly trained, qualified young ladies with a love of children and the outdoors, and the 1st aid attendant is specially trained to work in a camp setting. Kickapoo Kamp offers a fun environment that helps to build self-confidence, self-awareness and self-acceptance. Blankets are needed at night and sweaters are comfortable for mornings and evenings.
