McAllen Youth Soccer Association

McAllen Youth Soccer Association organizes team soccer practices that follow specific rules for using the De Leon fields. The program assigns each team one practice day per week, with field space limited to practice only and no scrimmages allowed during the week. Practice time for each team is limited to a one-hour block, and teams are expected to use only half a field during their assigned time.

• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Friday 10:00am–3:00pm

Nights are assigned by age groups, and a bi-weekly schedule is developed so that interested teams can practice one time slot per week. Time slots are limited and are assigned on a first-come basis, and any team that cannot be scheduled because of lack of available times is given first priority on the next bi-weekly schedule. Field space is assigned to each team, and teams are not permitted to reassign their time slots to other teams. McAllen Youth Soccer Association monitors all teams using the De Leon fields for practice, and all teams and coaches are at risk of losing access to the fields if they are found in violation of any of the rules. Reservations and sign-ups for practice slots must be made by calling the McAllen Youth Soccer Association office. All teams are responsible for cleaning up their practice area, including disposing of water bottles and trash.
