Musical Living Academy offers Intro Classes, group classes such as PreK Piano Class Parts I–III, Piano4Kids, Guitar4Kids, Voice4Kids Enrichment, Voice4Adults, and Adult Piano Class, as well as private piano, guitar, voice, violin, drum, and cello lessons. The program also includes seasonal events such as a Spring Recital 2026 and a Summer Music Festival 2026, along with fall and spring courses that run over 20 weeks.

• Schedule: Fall and spring courses run over 20 weeks, with the Spring Semester 2026 described as a 20-week instructional semester starting Monday, February 2, 2026; lessons resume January 5, 2026 after Winter Break, with no classes March 16–21, 2026 for Spring Break; office hours are Tuesday–Friday 1:00 pm–7:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am–3:00 pm
• Price: $95/MONTH for PreK Piano Class-Part I, II, and III (4 to 6 Years Old); $95/MONTH for Piano4Kids Class (7 to 11 Years Old); $95/MONTH for Guitar4Kids Class (7 to 11 Years Old); $95/MONTH for Voice4Kids Class - Enrichment (7 to 11 Years Old); $95/MONTH for Adult Piano Class (18 Years Old & UP); an Annual Program Enhancement Fee is charged April 2026, and families who enroll between January–March 2026 are not charged this fee until the following year.
Musical Living Academy has been operating for over 12 years. The mission states that the academy is dedicated to fostering a lifelong passion for music by engaging the mind and expressing the heart, using comprehensive music education to empower students of all ages to develop their talents, embrace creativity, and achieve personal growth, and to cultivate a supportive community where music becomes a transformative force in the lives of students and their families. The academy’s slogan is “Engage the Mind. Express the Heart.”
The leadership team includes Founder and Piano Instructor Edelir Garza, Programs Director and Piano Instructor Christian Davila, and Studio Coordinator Raquel Hernandez. The majority of the instructors hold music degrees, are actively pursuing them, or have extensive performing experience, and Edelir Garza has over 20 years of experience in private piano instruction and holds a degree in music education.
Intro Classes are described as fun, group-based introductions to music with programs tailored for every age group, and private lessons provide individualized, one-on-one instruction starting at age 6 and up. The academy is open on federal holidays including January 19 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day), February 16 (Presidents' Day), and May 25 (Memorial Day).
The Spring Recital 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026 at the Robert Pulido Performing Arts Center. The Summer Music Festival 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, August 8th from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the McAllen Performing Arts Center and is described as a professional outdoor concert experience where young musicians perform in a festival setting, building confidence while bringing families and the community together through live music. Musical Living Academy collaborates with Alamo Music Center in San Antonio to provide RGV families with another option for purchasing high-quality musical instruments.
