About

The Kid Connection offers academic tutoring, dyslexia therapy, speech therapy, play based therapy, social skills classes, SAT/ACT prep, and before and after school care. The program also offers seasonal options such as summer programs and winter programs on The Kid Connection campus. Families can access a full spectrum of support services ranging from academic tutoring to dyslexia therapy, speech, play based therapy, social skills and more, along with after-school tutoring, counseling services, and seasonal camps.

The leadership team includes Courtney and Tara. The program’s mission is: “Our mission remains the same: to meet every child where they are at, see the heart of each child, partner with families to grow confident learners who know who they are and who's they are.” The Kid Connection offers Christian education and enrichment programs rooted in Biblical values, with faith-based academic programs and enrichment offerings. It operates as a University-Model school and offers flexible, intentional pathways that meet families where they are, with a whole child approach to learning and growth (heart, mind, and spirit). The program features small class sizes, customized learning and dedicated tutoring, a commitment to Biblical teaching, a strong sense of accountability in students and staff, an individualized curriculum, and a smaller teacher to student ratio, and it is not a one size fits all school model.

Parent testimonials describe experiences with dyslexia, dysgraphia, processing disorders, learning differences, and speech disorders, and note that The Kid Connection University (TKCU) provided tutoring, full-time enrollment, small classes, and early interventions. Parents Brian and Ashley share that their oldest daughter “jumped a grade level, gained confidence, and began to love reading” after moving to TKCU full-time and that TKCU identified a processing disorder in their younger daughter and provided early interventions; they report their daughter saying, “TKCU is family.” Parents Havilah and Glenn describe customized learning, dedicated tutoring, and that their son “not only caught up but actually advanced a grade,” and they mention a welcoming atmosphere, commitment to Biblical teaching, and appreciation for Courtney and Tara. Parents Cory and Jenni state that their daughter with learning differences and a speech disorder attends TKCU and that they are thankful to have found the school. Parent Heather describes The Kid Connection as “an answer to our prayers,” notes that staff “go above and beyond to meet each student where they are,” and mentions small class sizes and that TKCU “is not a one size fits all school model.” Parent Kristen shares that her family moved from public school to TKCU for a more individualized curriculum and smaller teacher to student ratio, and that her son “has really progressed and thrived at TKCU over the last 2 years” and “doesn't dread going to school anymore and feels like he's found a place to belong,” with teachers able to “meet the kids where they are at.”
