The Movie Institute offers filmmaking camps, workshops, classes, and after school programs that focus on directing, cinematography, editing, acting, stunt coordination, and screenwriting. The program also involves youth in motion media production and performance through hands-on learning in real-world settings. In addition, The Movie Institute provides video production services, including product launches, sales and promotions, social and digital content, and technical and instructional videos.

For 25 years, The Movie Institute has mentored and trained life and leadership skills in thousands of young people through the creativity and discipline of motion media. The Movie Institute is dedicated to the training of life and leadership skills in young people and adults through the creativity and discipline of the motion media arts and sciences. It is a 501(c)(3) youth development nonprofit organization and a member of a youth development 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The program includes real-world training in professional-level videos for businesses and other nonprofits, with projects managed and produced by experienced professionals working with advanced young filmmakers who gain real industry experience. MI creates professional-quality video content for businesses and marketing teams, allowing organizations to work toward their marketing goals while supporting the development of the next generation of motion media creators. The Movie Institute states a focus on empowering young people with life and leadership skills through the motion media arts and sciences, with an emphasis on creativity, collaboration, and the development of practical skills in real-world settings, and on making kids “Future Ready.”
