Cameron Park Zoo Youth Programs take place at Cameron Park Zoo, which features animals living in habitats that reflect their natural environments. The zoo’s animal collection includes more than 1,700 animals representing 300 species, including critically endangered orangutans, Sumatran tigers, and Komodo dragons in the Asian Forest exhibit. Lush native vegetation, splashing waterfalls, and picturesque lakes and ponds surround these habitats.

Cameron Park Zoo opened the Asian Forest in August of 2009. Cameron Park Zoo is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA). Cameron Park Zoo has Community Partners listed under “Community Partners View All Community Partners.” The leadership team includes Zoo Director Brendan Wiley, Deputy Zoo Director Duane Hills, Zoo Veterinarian James Kusmierczyk, VMD, Education Curator Connie Kassner, Guest Experience Manager Rafael Estelle, and several members of the Cameron Park Zoological & Botanical Society and Zoo Commission. Cameron Park Zoo is open daily, excluding Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day, and membership includes guest passes, discounted admission at other zoos and aquariums, and other listed benefits.
