About

Swim Lessons at Great Waves Waterpark offers class swim lessons for children from the youngest beginners through age 5. In addition to swim lessons, families at the waterpark have access to waterslides, speed slides, swirling waterslides, a wave pool, a Kids Zone, and a giant splash pad.

• Ages: 0–5 years old
• Schedule: Registration for swim lesson classes is normally available at the beginning of waterpark season, starting just before the waterpark opens on Memorial Day Weekend.

The waterpark includes 7 total slides, with a pair of speed slides, three swirling waterslides (two open and one covered), and two open slides in the play pool. Other activities at the same site include Paradise Play at Cameron Run, a beach themed play structure with triple slides, spiral climbs, pogo bounces, a rock wall, spiral slides, mazes, kids conveyors, and wobble hoppers for kids 3 to 12, as well as batting cages, a landscaped 18-hole miniature golf course, and ice skating at Ice & Lights: The Winter Village at Cameron Run. Waterpark guests are monitored by licensed aquatics staff whose mantra is “Safety is golden.” The Cameron Run Regional (Great Waves Waterpark) Manager is Howard Abasto. NOVA Parks, which operates the facility, organized under the Virginia Park Authorities Act in 1959 and adopted the NOVA Parks name in 2014, with the mission statement “NOVA Parks - the best of Northern Virginia through nature, history, and great family experiences.”
