Karter School Summer Camp offers a wide range of themed weeks and specialty camps, including Broadway Remix Camp, Wilderness Warriors Camp, Sculpt It!, All-Star Sports Fest, The Junior Chef Experience, Let’s Get Loud Cheer Camp, Minecraft Masters, Lyric Lab: SongWriter’s Camp, Paw-stitve Impact Camp, Galactic Adventures Camp, Madagascar the Musical 2 Week Theater Camp, Pickleball Camp, Lego Legends, Wacky, Water World, Game Masters Academy, Broadway Dance Camp, Time Travelers, Taste Around the World, Alice In Wonderland, The Musical, Hoop Dream Camp, Mystery Detectives, Flag Football, Mad Scientist Lab, “In My Camp Era” Taylor Swift Camp, Strikers Soccer Camp, Karter Kafe, Krafter’s Korner, Peace Builders Camp, GOAL! soccer camp, Art Mania summer camp, Art Clay Masters summer camp, and Craft-A-Palooza. Campers take part in activities such as STEAM projects, teamwork challenges, crafting catapults, creating costumes, foreign language classes in Mandarin and Spanish, performing arts and music, robotics and other STEAM activities, public speaking and art, science and PE, and yoga and dance. The camp also includes Water Days where campers come dressed in swim gear.
• Ages: 3–12 years old
• Schedule: Camp hours run 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with optional before care from 7:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m. and after care from 4:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.
• Price: Pre-summer and early bird weekly camp rates range from $423–$498 per week, with additional options including a rising kindergarten weekly rate of $575 for full day 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., $475 for day 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., and $375 for 1/3 day 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.; before care is $50, after care is $75, and registration is $99, with some pre-summer and early bird offers including free registration and discounted or free before/after care.
The program includes two field trips per week and all meals with camp. For Broadway Remix Camp at Karter School of Cascades, free daily transportation is provided for families from other campuses. Karter’s GOAL! soccer camp includes the first-ever Karter Soccer Tournament and emphasizes fair play, sportsmanship, and teamwork, and Art Mania camp includes an art exhibition showcasing the campers’ work. On Water Play Days, campers are asked to bring a camp T-shirt, swim suit, water goggles, water shoes, a towel, and a bag for wet clothes.
Campers are asked to bring a water bottle with their name each day, and on the first day to bring sunscreen or bug spray and a change of clothes. Before the first day, families are asked to submit an immunization form and a completed child file (if the child is not currently attending Karter Schools), with documents emailed to [email protected]. The campus uses a ZONO medical grade toy sanitizer, an installed air duct cleaning system as an air purifier, and has an on-site housekeeper and nightly cleaning crew.
Educators at Karter School Summer Camp have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the subject they are teaching and are full-time Karter Schools instructors. Karter Schools states that its mission is to provide exceptional early education in an environment where children feel safe, inspired, and loved.
