About
DMR Adventures Performing Arts Academy offers training in acting, singing, dance, musical theatre, improv, comedy, technical theatre, animation, visual storytelling, beginning podcasting, and audio storytelling. Students can also study juggling, physical theatre skills, Shakespeare, classical storytelling, public speaking, storytelling for leadership, and ensemble-based communication training. The program provides acting coaching (including on-camera training), vocal technique and healthy singing, audition coaching, song selection, repertoire development, monologue coaching, college audition preparation, dance cleaning, and choreography support.

• Schedule: Staff are often in the building Monday–Friday from 2:30–6:30, as well as on Saturday and Sunday.

Programs are led by both local and visiting guest artists who are described as experts in their fields, and private lessons are available with Broadway professionals. It is common to see Broadway professionals working side by side with students. The stated mission of DMR Adventures is to develop artists through education and performance in acting, dance, and voice.
DMR Adventures offers a Youth Leadership Program, MainStage Productions with six full MainStage productions each year, and over 15 summer camps annually. The Pre-Professional Program includes Junior Stars, Dream Team, and All Stars, and there are additional options such as the YAS! – Youth After School Program and a Homeschool Theatre Program. School and community partnerships include Musicals 101! and the Village School Drama Residency, along with an annual production at the Paramount Theatre. Junior Theatre Festival troupes travel to Atlanta, GA and Sacramento, CA, and NYC trips feature Broadway performances, classes with industry professionals, and performance opportunities including a recent appearance at Radio City Music Hall. The program also offers professional development workshops for adults and organizations and select virtual private lesson options, and states that it provides professional performing arts training from professionals, with high-caliber instruction described as intended to inspire passion, discipline, confidence, and commitment. The Youth Leadership Program is mentorship-based and allows students to assist or help lead classes and serve on creative and technical teams, and the organization reports providing approximately $300,000 in scholarships and discounts.
