Fairfax County Park Authority Camps

Fairfax County Park Authority Camps include activities such as drama, art, cooking, dance, music, nature exploration, sports, science projects, and a variety of other options. Campers may also spend time with board games, cards, drawing, coloring, and age-appropriate movies. Extended Care is available only to campers already enrolled in full-day camps, and camps that end before 4 p.m. are not eligible for Extended Care.

• Ages: 5–15 years old
• Schedule: Extended Care is offered Monday–Friday during regular business days, with one additional hour in the morning from 8–9 a.m. and/or one additional hour in the afternoon from 4–5 p.m.; registration for Extended Care is weekly.
• Price: Extended Care costs $40 per week for 8–9 a.m. and $40 per week for 4–5 p.m.

Trained staff has prepared summer camp hot weather procedures to keep campers safe during hot days. Families can join a waitlist for full camps without payment until a space is available. The program uses the ePACT Network to collect medical and emergency contact information electronically. Families can use a Camp Spreadsheet tool to sort and filter available camps and Extended Care offerings, the 2026 Camp Guide to see spring and summer camp options, and My Summer Camp Planner to track registration codes and open registration dates. Advance registration is required for Extended Care, and space is limited. The Youth Services Section Manager for the program is Emilie Shumate.
