Lead By Example TaeKwonDo

Lead By Example Tae Kwon Do offers training in Tae Kwon Do, Karate, and Kickboxing, along with birthday parties that include a Tae Kwon Do class. The program also runs Before and After School Programs, Spring Fun Camps, Winter Break Fun Camps, Summer Fun Camps, and a Lead By Example Intramural Tournament. Camp days can include excursions to the movies, bowling, bounce houses, trampoline parks, museums, mini golf, swimming pools, and Chuck E. Cheese's.

Lead By Example Tae Kwon Do was founded by 7th Dan Master Tommy Lightfoot and 6th Dan Master Janet Lightfoot, who lead the program. The studios include a large, open workout area with heavy bags, body shields, hand targets, kicking paddles, and a stretch rail, as well as a waiting area where parents can watch class in progress and use free Wi‑Fi. The program offers a free 1-week introductory trial, Before and After School Programs that include pick up from local schools, a Tae Kwon Do class, a healthy snack, and homework help, and birthday parties that run 90 minutes. Classes are available for students on the high spectrum of Autism from ages 5–adult at the Fair Oaks location, and the program uses the My Studio App for online videos, curriculum, Zoom links, purchasing camp and retail items, signing up for trials, memberships, and events, and messaging. The program emphasizes core values and life skills such as Confidence, Respect, Discipline, Self-esteem, Self-control, Mental focus, Agility, and Fitness, and describes itself as having a family atmosphere that is open to learning and growing.

The mission statement explains that the program focuses on traditional Tae Kwon Do, modern teaching methods, and an emphasis on the 7 qualities of a champion, with a goal of increasing the physical and mental strength of each student and creating confidence in all aspects of life. It states that students are encouraged to set a good example in the studio, at home, at school, and in life, and that instructors aim to help students conquer personal goals and become the best they can be while increasing mental and physical fitness.

For camps, participants need to purchase an Orange Camp Tee, pack a lunch and snacks, and bring a labeled water bottle each day. For 4th Stripe Testing, students must wear their full uniform, bring their equipment, current report card, a completed Intent to Promote Form, and prepare for the written/oral exam; White and Brown Belts must also submit their TKD notebook. New students in the Before and After School Programs pay a one-time registration fee to receive their uniform and beginner equipment package.
