Tuckaway-Woodlake offers an innovative, educational child care program where children can play, run, climb, swim, and enjoy sports such as soccer and baseball. The program also includes physical activities in a full-sized gym and on large playgrounds.

• Schedule: Hours: 7:00am - 6:00pm
Tuckaway-Woodlake is part of a family of 7 Tuckaway schools in the Richmond area and serves families with infants through school-age children. The program uses Developmentally Appropriate Practice teaching methods and a stimulating educational curriculum tailored for each child's age and ability, including language development, mathematics, science, social studies, physical activities, and music as part of the instructional courses. Caregivers and teachers are nurturing professionals trained in health, safety, and education, and the center is led by Director, Kristen Jabe. Woodlake Child Development Center started in 1986, expanded its building in 1990, and added 7.75 acres for the Woodlake Youth Center and sports complex in 1994, and Tuckaway Child Development began in 1971. Tuckaway-Woodlake has been voted multiple years as “Best Pre-School” and “Best Child Care.” Parents describe the program as having warm and amazing teachers and staff, caring staff, a great curriculum, and wonderful playgrounds, and note that their children love attending.
