Lil’ Kickers coaches are trained in child development theory. The program is described as a child development program that focuses on helping children build strong physical, social, cognitive, and emotional skills that will help them be successful on and off the soccer field. The program offers open enrollment so families can join anytime, and classes are tailored to specific ages and can accommodate most children. SCOR maintains a 1:10 coach-to-child ratio and does not provide one-to-one support, with specific ratios for different class types: Bunnies classes are parent and child classes with a 15:1 ratio with parents on the field, Thumpers and Cottontails classes are parent and child classes with a 12:1 ratio with parents on the field, Hoppers and Jackrabbits classes have a 7:1 ratio, and Big Feet classes have a 12:1 ratio. Micro Classes are developmental and non-competitive for intermediate kids ages 4–9 years and are designed to enhance individual and team skills, with an emphasis on fun and safety. SCOR staff will not accept aggressive, inappropriate, bullying, or rude behaviors from students. The program has a no refunds policy, with case-by-case exceptions for injury or if the class is absolutely not the right fit. Families may not turn a jersey back in to trade for another size, but they may purchase another jersey for $20. The program also offers an option called Enrichment in Motion, where families can create their own class. The program notes a partnership with SCOR Campus.
