Lil’ Kickers is described as a child development program that focuses on helping children build strong physical, social, cognitive, and emotional skills that will help them be successful on and off the soccer field. The curriculum is developed using renowned child development theory, and Lil’ Kickers coaches are trained in child development theory and incorporate a developmental perspective when approaching children. Bunnies, Thumpers, and Cottontails are parent and child classes with parents on the field, while Hoppers, Jackrabbits, Big Feet, and Micro classes are described as non-competitive or including non-competitive games. Micro Classes are developmental and non-competitive for intermediate kids ages 4–9 years and are designed to enhance individual and team skills, with an emphasis on fun and safety.
