Stand Up Paddleboarding Camp runs as a 1-week session from Monday through Friday, with regular camp hours from 9 AM to 3 PM and extended camp hours available from 8 AM to 6 PM. Instructors are all 18 and older and have safety and skills training. The leadership team is headed by David Secunda, former president of the Outdoor Industry Association and a 25-year veteran of the outdoor education industry. The program is part of Avid4 Adventure, whose mission states that kids build confidence, make new friends, and master essential skills in activities like paddling, biking, rock climbing, and hiking. Avid4 Adventure’s summer camps are accredited by the American Camp Association, have been named among Colorado Parent’s Top 5 Sports Camps, and the organization is a Certified B Corp. Avid4 Adventure operates under a Special Use authorization from the National Forest Service and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Campers are grouped by grade range, either 2nd–4th graders or 5th–7th graders. Highly trained instructors provide individualized support, and the camp is backed by the Avid4 Adventure Guarantee. Transportation is provided to and from recreation areas, and campers use top-of-the-line gear specifically sized for kids. Programs from Avid4 Adventure evolve with campers from age 3 through 17.

Parent testimonials report that a camper who had never done the activities before now counts stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, and biking as favorites and learned to ride a bike without training wheels during camp. Other parents describe the staff as mature, responsible, and excited to share their passion with children, and say their kids were active every day and still talk about camp weeks later.
